Rift Valley MPs warn Uhuru Kenyatta against stoppage of water projects

A section of Rift Valley MPs are unhappy with projects that were promised byPreisdent Uhuru Kenyatta during his campaign.

The lawmakers claimed that there was a ploy by some individuals they did not identify in Uhuru administration to scuttle key economic development to the region, The Star reports.

Led by Chepalungu MP Gideon Koskei, they warned of unspecified actions should the projects be stopped.

They said they would not accept further delays of the particular projects, noting that it was sad that most of the multi-million-shilling developments had taken more than three years to take off.

The legislator warned that as leaders they were aware that some top government individuals out to frustrate Deputy President William Ruto politically had hatched plans to block all projects in his support base.
