Solico beat Isiolo Youngsters 4-3 on post-match penalties, after playing to a 1-1 draw in regulation time, to clinch the boys’ title while St Mary’s Nduvea rallied from behind to beat Chuka Starlets 2-1. Solico coach Bernad Mudachi says he was pleased with the game as the opponents’pushed them to the wall.

“The nationals will be more competitive so we expect to improve our game and clinch the nationals’ tittle.” adds Mudachi. His counterpart Martin Mutembei of Isiolo Youngsters said they were disappointed by the poor officiating at some point, but pleased to have reached the finals in their first try.

“We will come back stronger next season. Getting the MVP from our team is also a bonus although we lost the title.”Said Mutembei. Solico edged Samba Boys of Moyale 3-2   Young Stars beat Embu’s Triumph 2-0 in semifinals, while Nduvea beat Sakuu Queens of Marsabit 3-0 in the girl’s semis. Both winners will receive kSh.200, 000 while the runners up carried home 100,000 in prize money. All the award winners received Sh30, 000prizes each.
