Angry Toi market traders accuse Governor Sonko’s fire fighters

Traders at Toi market, Nairobi which was burnt to ashes on Tuesday morning have accused city fire for being so slow to react to fire emergencies.

The fire which reportedly broke out at 3.00AM consumed the better part of the market until around 6.00AM when only one fire engine reached the scene.

According to Chairman of the market Mr. Jumba, “Only one fire engine is on sight and has done too little to put out the fire. The situation is worse. People’s property gone just like that.”
