What caused crash of Ethiopian Airlines jet? Recovery of black boxes is a major breakthrough

The cause of the Ethiopian Airlines plane Boeing 737 is yet to be established as top aviation experts from the United States joins Ethiopian officials in the investigation.

However, Swedish flight-tracking website flightradar24 said the jet “had unstable vertical speed”.

“Data from Flightradar24 ADS-B network show that vertical speed was unstable after takeoff,” the Swedish-based flight tracking organization said on its Twitter feed.

The recovery of black boxes from crash scenes on Monday was a major breakthrough.
