No one single individual has economically ravaged his own community using trappings of power like William Ruto. RV farmers can’t sell their maize, they were supplied with fake fertilizer, nearly all MD’s in court on corruption charges, the dams reman a dream. Savage!

The long-running corruption scandals could prove a sticking point for Deputy President William Ruto in his Rift Valley political backyard as he strategises to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.

Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter, Cheranganyi MP Joshua Kutuny and Moiben’s Silas Tiren have previously called on investigative bodies to question the DP on both the fertilizer and the maize scandal.

Maize and wheat farming are the main economic activities of many of his supporters in the region, but some of them feel that he has not done all within his powers to address their plight.

Farmers continue to complain of low prices for their produce and inordinate delayed payments for maize delivered to the National Cereals and Produce Board.

Will DP Ruto clinch presidency if his own people have rejected him?
