Raila reveals handshake agenda during 1st anniversary

The details of President Uhuru and Hon. Raila Odinga handshake remain a mystery to many people including political leaders close to the duo even as Kenya marks its very first anniversary, several theories have been said but all are speculative.

Speaking in Nairobi on the handshake’s first anniversary on Saturday in a meeting of women leaders under the group ‘Embrace’ at Serena Hotel in Nairobi, the Former Prime minister insisted that the handshake was agreed to bring unity for Kenyans and end the political hatred that has been seen in the country over years.

He said that they (President Uhuru and him) wanted to leave a good legacy in the country and there is nothing personal they want to gain as reported by the Nation.

“We are not in this because there is something we want to gain from it,” Raila said during the meeting.

The ODM party leader highlighted the chaos that arose from 2007,2013 and 2017 general elections insisting such chaos should not happen again in Kenya.

Raila also said the current fight for corruption does not target any community or individual, highlighting the benefits of big four agenda and the journey to ‘Cannan via ‘Building Bridges Initiative’.
