DP Ruto still has a say in Central Kenya, Claims Senator Kang’ata

A section of leaders still believe that the Deputy President William Ruto still has a very strong chance of becoming the next president of Kenya cpome 2022.

According to Muranga County Senator Irungu Deputy President William Ruto still remains strong in Central Kenya.

While speaking speaking in an interview with one of the Local Radio station he said, “Ruto still has a massive following and enjoys great influence in Central Kenya and what is happening currently between his allies and the president will not have any effect on his grip of the region.”

In addition Senator Kang’ata said, that it will be hard to take away the support base he has made in the region even if the plan were to trim him as has been alleged by the team led by Kapseret lawmaker Oscar Sudi.

The Murang’a Senator’s remarks comes a time when some of the leaders have been linking the DP’s name to corruption following the recent dam scandal where some of his allies were mentioned by the Director of Public Prosecution.

The investigations are still continuing as the DCI has summoned most of the suspects for further investigations.
