Embattled Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa’s woes seem to have brought her some new Friends and renewed her energy to fight ODM, a party she has termed as dictatorial and up to no good.
Jumwa had herself expelled from the Opposition Party for allegedly breaking the Party’s set rules and codes of conduct.
The Vocal Malindi MP, who was once a fierce defender of ODM Chief Raila Odinga found herself in the wrong books of ODM for dining with DP William Ruto, a man considered by ODM as an enemy.
DP Ruto has now come out to take the bullet for Aisha and has hit out at ODM Chief Raila Odinga for facilitating the expulsion of Mrs.Jumwa.
Ruto has hit out at Raila for trying so hard to create a Rift in Jubilee while at the same time applying unorthodox means in dealing with ODM members who question or oppose him.
“You cannot claim to be uniting Kenyans when you create divisions in other political parties and expel members from your own party. This is being dishonest to the country and political conmanship. Expelling people from your party does not unite Kenyans,” Ruto said.
“You cannot unite Kenyans by expelling Aisha Jumwa from the party for her development relationship with the deputy president of the republic of Kenya.”
“It is shameful for a party leader to convene a whole National Executive Council to plan how to expel a woman. Men with their beards sitting to discuss a woman is shameful. It is not acceptable in this 21st century,” he said.
“What they are accusing Aisha of doing has been done by many men including the party leader. Why don’t they tackle the men and leave the woman alone? Any political party or political leader that organises and orchestrates to undermine women has no place in the 21st century.”
