Flying squad arrests Senior detectives caught stealing Heroine


Major Crime Detectives have arrested two Police officers captured on CCTV footage stealing narcotics worth millions of shillings. In statement from the director of criminal investigations, the two; corporal Alloys Onyango & Constable Arbanus Mutunga were caught stealing over 25 kilograms of Heroin which had been confiscated from drug traffickers.

According to the DCI, the Police officers used Peter Okoth Odongo, a drug trafficker, to lure two other drug traffickers & owners of the narcotics; Alfric Odhiambo Otieno & Kenneth Sinzore respectively to an ambush and thereafter took the drugs & dumped the suspects.

Police have vowed to that no one will be spared in the war against crime.

The arrest comes a day after a Chief Inspector of Police was arrested alongside four people for impersonating Immigration officials.According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the four; Chief Inspector Kennedy Omondi, Stanilus Otieno, Eddie Obwaka and Boniface Omengi were arrested by Flying Squad detectives as they went to collect a Sh2 million bribe.

The four had asked for Sh10 million bribe from complainants who reported the matter.

The arrests followed a report made by the complainants whose passports&other documents had been confiscated by the said ‘immigration officers.’They asked for a bribe of 10M &were going to collect 2M when they were nabbed by Detectives.
