More pressure is mounting following the loss of then Ksh 21 billion dam money. Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has put weight on the scandal calling for further investigations on the scandal.
The vocal politician argued that Rotich would have consulted permanent secretaries and President Uhuru Kenyatta before making the payments.
While taking to his twitter account, “It can’t be true that CS Rotich singularly paid out all these billions of shillings in the said dams scandals, all against government financial procedures and regulations without reference to & without the approval of the PS, the Cabinet & the President. We demand full disclosure.”

This remarks come days after Rotich appeared before the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in Kiambu to shed more light in the alleged loss of Sh21 billion in the Kimwarer and Arrom dam projects in Elgeyo Marakwet County.
