Itumbi’s heart warming message to all women bloggers, journalists

The Director of Digital and diaspora communications at state house Dennis Itumbi has send a heart warming message to who have committed themselves in the world of digital communication.

Through his social media accounts, Itumbi penned down his message on Friday afternoon, being the International women’s day.

He ended his long post in a biblical scripture quoted from the book of Proverbs 31:25 , “She is clothed with strength &dignity & she laughs without fear of the future.”

“To all great Women of our planet – Have a great International Women day.

My message of the day is to every woman blogger, micro-blogger and journalist.

I salute your contribution.

Whereas it is okay to have online accounts and commentary about everything, how I pray you also have us joint focus on specific issues.

Women, more than men, can consistently focus on an issue until action is taken without wavering.

Wangari Mathai, despite her commentary on many things, had a specific focus on trees.

Women in my view are blessed with the power of conversation and probably FGM, Domestic Violence, Equality of employment and pay and mentorship to our girls needs to have a digital identity, life and growth.

Rather than just tell us what is happening, Women bloggers need to start a fresh approach to digital conversations as a way of ensuring what matters does not get lost in the chaos of information.

Move your powerful blogging skills from merely typed words and into actions that leave footprints in the hearts of the next generation

To paraphrase the late Margret Thatcher, “In blogging, If you want anything tweeted, a man will do and forget. If you want anything done, ask a woman to keep tweeting, till action happens”

It is time to change the narrative and anchor it within a notebook of consistency. The blogs lack the fight and the depth on serious issues and maybe we need a female digital handwriting.

I actually believe the boy-child agenda will be delivered by Women Bloggers more efficiently.

I conclude by saluting all Women for their immense contribution online and offline.

Proverbs 31:25 is my verse for you today, “She is clothed with strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future.”
