DRC Congo’s Former President Joseph Kabila and current President Felix Tshisekedi on Wednesday aroused mixed reactions by announcing that they are forming a coalition.
Their two parties recognised the parliamentary make-up in a statement, saying they had a “common will to govern together as part of a coalition government”.
This is in one of the first African instances of political woes making up following Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga’s handshake.
For this reason, Uhuru and Raila are said to have mentored the DRC leaders, while Kenyans prepared their Congolese brothers on what awaits them henceforth.
