Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was spotted wearing a bib on the touchline during the clash with Paris Saint-Germain.

The Norwegian boss was hoping for his side to complete what would have been an incredible comeback.

Paris Saint-Germain held a 2-0 lead over the Red Devils due to their performance at Old Trafford, with not many people giving Solskjaer’s side a chance for the return leg.

Not only did their first leg performance give fans little hope, but their injury list also reached critical levels ahead of the Champions League clash.

Despite that, Manchester United stunned the world of football.

The most incredible of comebacks

Against all odds, Man United struck first through Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian forward latched onto a poor backpass from PSG defender Marquinhos before rounding Gianluigi Buffon and sticking the ball into the back of the net within two minutes.

The mood instantly switched, with fans believing they could actually give this a good go.

Though, that mood soon switched again when Juan Bernat scored.

However, Romelu Lukaku then scored a second to instil that confidence yet again.

Then, just when it looked impossible as the clock run down, VAR stunned the world by awarding Manchester United a penalty in the 92nd minute.

Marcus Rashford kept his cool to blast Man United into the next round of the Champions League.

Despite all the late drama, one of the most interesting factors of this game did not even take place on the pitch.

That is because football fans were left bemused by the fact Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spent the full game in a UEFA bib.

Though, there’s apparently a reason.

According to Henry Winter on social media, the assistant referee on the far side of the pitch from the dugout was confusing Solskjaer for a PSG player due to his all-black suit and the Paris sides all-black kit.

Safe to say, some of social media didn’t get the memo while others gave Solskjaer the meme treatment.
