Man Utd Fans Highlight Turning Point In Paris; Solskjaer Had Fortune On His Side

Manchester United fans dissect last night’s brilliant 3-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s impact in our Your Says of the Day.

I know its early, but after reading the post MacGuffin wrote about Ole installing the Fergie style motivational factor. What other qualities/signs have you seen in Ole that Fergie use to have? One trait that stands out is the ability to get that extra out of players.

By this I mean players who ain’t exceptional but you are able to make them perform above their station. Fergie was a master at this, he installed belief, Ole has these traits. The chips were down last night and in the second half vs Liverpool, but Ole squeezed that extra out of the players, just like Fergie use to.

Ha! Literally just writing something similar to this in the PSG post. It’s certainly something about making the team greater than the sum of its parts. PSG are an example of a side that doesn’t perform as well as it should. The Utd side last night played well above expectations. 11 lesser players all working for each other will beat a team of individuals.
There’s player management as well.

Lukaku said that Ole had asked him to be at his sharpest now and that they’ve spent the last 3 or 4 weeks working on interval sprints and finishing so that he’d be at his best for the run in. Seems to be working so far!

The audacity to bring on Chong and Mason in search of a goal 😭😭😭 Ole is definitely at the wheel. How the hell am I going to sleep

See that wee rat Owen apparently saying never a penalty…Gullit and Desailly said it was a clear pen on Bein and all Spanish pundits also saying it was a pen….what a **** Owen is…pains me to think he played for us and scored that late winner against City

F**king hell, didn’t see the game again so had to rely on listening to Michael Appleton who’s still a massive red on SKY practically having kittens whilst the click ticked down at the end It sounds like the result was written in the stars and everything went our way similarly to how it did away at Juventus with only 28% possession throughout the match and the big moments going our way, but who the fuck cares now!.

I would have happily settled for a good performance and a narrow defeat tonight and move on to the Arsenal and Wolves games but to somehow get through is nothing short of miraculous, especially as we haven’t even won an away ECL knockout game for 8 long years.

Scott was superb tonight irritated Verrati at every chance, covered for Matic and was very neat in his passing..Fred had his best game in a United shirt, very disciplined and oh dont get me started with Smalling our best player tonight but then even our worst player tonight Young made 3 crucial clearances..aah so psyched plus guess who predicted a 3-1 win for United with a last minute goal 😍😍
