“Due to ongoing legal issues regarding The Ethic Entertainment they will not be featuring at The Hype Fest,” Hype wrote on Instagram before deleting the post hours later.

The organisers did not really specify which court case they meant in their statement, but judging with the recent turn of events, it could be about Swat’s recent scandal.

It was earlier reported that, Swat, a member of the group was recently captured on video receiving a thorough caning from a crowd who seem to be pressuring him to speak, despite his evident pain.

However, the group through its official social media accounts put the rumours to rest with a statement claiming he was merely a victim of the everyday struggles of the youth residing in Eastlands area, Nairobi.
