JKIA crisis contained,passengers going through the check in process

The crisis at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) which was caused by the airport’s workers been contained.

According to Kenya Airways, the chaos has been resolved , the airline advised all airport users to resume with their flights and other business within the airport.


“Passengers to Mumbai going through the check in process. Flights to Amsterdam and London also scheduled to depart at 10:45hrs and 11:06hrs respectively.@CAA_Kenya @KenyaAirports” Kenya Airways tweet.

The JKIA workers have downed their tools due to an ongoing row. Which has been further fueled by the plans to hand over the Airports management to a struggling Kenya Airways.

A move that the Airports Authority workers are strongly opposed to. Claiming that the move to privatize JKIA is most likely to render them jobless.

In addition the KQ’s management is accused of paying hefty salaries to the executive. Not to mention dishing out jobs to people who have low or no qualifications.
