Raila Odinga claimed that Pope reject a car from DP Ruto since it had been acquired through corruption money a statement that brought uproar of social media leading to a battle of words between the two leaders.
However Cardinal John Njue has now come out saying that AU Leader’s claims are not verified.
“I am not aware of how the comments came about. I don’t know about claims that the Holy Pope directed the Church to return the gift,” said the Cardinal.
In addition he said, “We have not received such a communication that we return the car. However, I wish to state that during my installation in January, I received two cars, but they don’t personally belong to me. They are the property of the diocese.”
