Working during the weekend can increase depression risk

A new study has linked working during the weekend with an increased risk of depression.

The study was published by the Journal of Epidemiology & Community health and linked working over the weekend to risks in mental health.

Married men were the ones found to have the tendency to work for long during the weekends. The number of women found to work longer during the weekend was lower than their male counterparts.

People working in the weekends were found to be the ones who have a lower salary and they do so as they seek to increase their income.

Those who work over the weekend were feared to easily develop work related stress which could be a recipe for depression.
