In 2013, some sort of political coup happened in Kenya. Two previously fierce rivals had burried the hatchet and decided to work together. These two main Protagonists were President Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto.

At First, people thought they were only united because of their post election violence cases at the International Criminal Court. The two would later on survive the turbulent waters at the ICC, Win elections, form a government and withstand all the pressure directed their way during their first term in office.

Then came the 2017 General Elections. They again joined hands only that this time they had one political vehicle called Jubilee unlike in 2013 when there was Uhuru’s TNA and Ruto’s URP.

Uhuru would end up getting massive numbers of votes from Ruto’s Kalenjin backyard as well as other parts of the Country.

Although their win was marred by controversies, the duo still made the current Government.

Fast foward heading to 2022, Ruto is said to be the next in line to take over from President Kenyatta.

His ride will however not be a smooth one with his allies now crying foul that President Kenyatta has joined hands with Raila Odinga to frustrate him.

Ruto’s allies have therefore called on President Kenyatta not to blunder. They have asked him to remember where he and Ruto have come from.

“Raila’s mission is clear and the result are obvious. My advice to Uhuru and Ruto is that they should not forget where God picked them from and the purpose they are supposed to serve.” Said Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago.

Ruto allies, Sudi said, were ready for battle with the sons of the rich and powerful who want to dominate politics and the economy.

According to Kimilili MP Didimus Barasa, Bungoma people did not back Uhuru in the last elections because they liked him, they did so because of William Ruto.

“We voted for him because of DP William Ruto, but we are now tired because people who were out there are now the ones causing confusion in government.”

The MP said the war on graft was being used to target Ruto allies, but the DP’s supporters are ready to be arrested and prosecuted.

“You can stop anything else including a volcano from erupting but you will not stop the desire of hustlers and poor Kenyans to install William Ruto to State House,” Barasa added.
