A tragedy has fallen on one of Kenya’s best; Deputy President William Ruto’s pilot Captain Mario Magonga.
He was a highly skilled, experienced and respected pilot and trainer with over 20 years IAP experience.
Police have confirmed the death of Capt. Magonga with 4 Americans on-board the ill fated chopper that crashed at Central Island National Park in Lake Turkana.
Capt. Magonga, was a cherished member of the Tropic Air helicopter team, before moving on to pursue his flying career with Deputy President William Ruto .
“An exceptional helicopter pilot, Mario has also been the source of strength, laughter and spirit, both in the office and in the air, and we will miss him.”
