VIDEO: Klopp confronts ball boy who sarcastically applauded him after Merseyside derby

during the Premier League match between Liverpool FC and Manchester City at Anfield on October 7, 2018 in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

A Goodison Park ball boy has become a hero to Everton fans for sarcastically applauding Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp off the pitch after Sunday’s Merseyside derby.

Klopp’s side failed to break down a resilient Toffees team and missed their chance to return to the top of the Premier League table.

They are now behind Manchester City after both teams have played the same number of matches for the first time since early December, with nine games remaining to move back ahead of Pep Guardiola’s side and win their first ever Premier League title.

Sam Allardyce told talkSPORT the pressure is starting to get to Klopp as Liverpool have the ‘fear of winning the league’ – and the German looked slightly rattled at the end of Sunday’s match.

And it was all because of a ball boy.

The youngster was caught on camera sarcastically applauding Klopp as he left the pitch after the full-time whistle, and the Liverpool boss actually confronted him!

Although it’s clear there was no ill will from Klopp towards the ball boy, as after a quick chat the German walked away down the tunnel laughing and smiling.
