Uganda is thinking about appealing to the East African Community (EAC) Secretariat in Arusha, Tanzania, to challenge what it sees as Rwanda’s financial harm in break of the local coalition’s rules.

Mr Philemon Mateke, the state officer for local collaboration, revealed to Uganda’s Daily Monitor Sunday evening that he would deliberate with his senior line serve, Kirunda Kivejinja, on the request “in light of the fact that meddling with cross-fringe exchange by Rwanda damages the East African Community rules yet it (Rwanda) is the member of the trade network.”

President Kagame, the quick past African Union administrator, succeeded President Museveni as EAC seat a month ago in the midst of rising pressure and long-standing counter-allegations, including claims that either government is propping up rebellious components against the other.

Rwanda’s diplomat to Uganda, Maj Gen Frank Mugambage, Sundayy said he was “locked in” and helpless to talk on Kampala’s most recent charges.

Kigali toward the finish of a month ago unexpectedly prevented vehicles from Uganda from entering Rwanda through Katuna, refering to continuous development works at Gatuna side of the outskirts.
