A man has claimed he had an appointment with the deceased pilot of Deputy President William Ruto that was scheduled on Monday hour before the crash.

The man who identified himself as Abuga Makori, whom Kenyans know little about posted condolences messages and disclosed about the planned meeting with captain Captain Magonga.

He posted: ‘I am devasted with the death of Captain Mario Magonga, DP William Ruto’s pilot. It’s sad that I even had an appointment with him today in Nairobi, only to learn he just died in Turkana. Rest in Peace Colonel Mario, soldiers rest, they don’t die.’

The DP on the other hand is yet to react on the crash.

Police on Monday said Captain Magonga died with all the four Americans he was flying after their helicopter came down near Lobolo in Central Island National Park at 8pm.
