Raila Odinga is a known man of the people and as such, the Opposition Chief has time and again had to attend various Funeral Ceremonies for his many friends, family or supporters.

Well, they say that nobody always invites death at their doorstep. So what does one do when death strikes?

In an African setting, it will involve preparing for the burial ceremony and later conducting a burial ceremony for the deceased.

One man that has apparently been involved in many Funerals is Raila Odinga and with the ongoing controversy surrounding Ruto’s car gift to Bishop Anyolo, his (Raila) Funeral escapades have come to haunt him.

Ruto unleashed his venom on Raila and even accused him of being a magician who believes in evil spirits.

This was after Raila claimed that Ruto’s car gift to the Kisumu Diocese Archbishop was rejected since it was bought from the proceeds of corruption.

Ruto’s allies came to Ruto’s defence and even wondered why the Opposition leader was bothered about Ruto’s move to participate in church activities.

“Odinga doesn’t go to church, but instead he always attends funerals. He should leave the Deputy President alone,” Said Kabete MP James Wamacukuru.

Rigathi Gachagua (Mathira MP) said it is Church leaders who invite the Deputy President to help in the development activities..

“It is Christians who invite the Deputy President to the churches. Why is Raila Odinga worried on issues that do not concern him,” Gachagua said.

He said the Catholic Church has its communication channels from the Pope and its wrong for Raila to mislead Kenyans that the Pope has insisted that the vehicle donated to Kisumu Diocese be returned.

The latest allegations against Mr. Odinga come months after Self Proclaimed NRM General Miguna Miguna said that Raila’s new role as High Representative for Infrastructure Development in Africa involves attending Funerals in Africa.
