The County Government of  Nairobi has taken up a project to construct  a retention wall at the Highways Section Administration Offices in Muthurwa.

This comes after the Nairobi City County Staff operating from the Highways section complained of theft and vandalism of county equipment in the facility since strangers would so easily cross over the river into the facility and commit the felonies.

Soil erosion caused by the river was alarming, as some of the precolonial offices in the piece of land were literally hanging in the air about to fall off.

The county has announced that they are reclaiming a section of land that was eroded by Nairobi River, as well as offer protection to the machinery in the workshop.
