He, however, believes Uhuru should have at least appointed a replacement from Western Kenya
Echesa was replaced by former Education CS Amina Mohammed in the sports docket
Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula has refused to comment on the unexpected sacking of former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa following Uhuru’s reshuffle.
While speaking during the burial of the son of his aide Chris Mandu Mandu in Numuduru, Funyula constituency, Wetangula played down talks of Echesa receiving the ax as he claimed he had no part to play in the former CS’s appointment in the first place.
According to Wetangula, since Uhuru did not consult him when appointing Echesa, it was not in his jurisdiction to speak on the matter.
“I have no business talking about the sacking of Echesa because the President did not ask me when he was hiring him neither did he ask me before sacking him,”
