Deputy President william Ruto insists that some state officials use fabricated data to undermine developments and target specific individuals.
This is in regards to a recent report by Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti indicating that Sh.21 billions had been mismanaged in Arror/Kimwarer Dams project as opposed to Ruto who claimed the project amounted only Sh. 7 billion.
While speaking at the Pastoralists Leadership Summit, Garissa Town, visibly angry Ruto stated that government must not politicize and demonize development programmes.
DP Ruto added that, “In whatever we do, we must put the interests of the people first.”
