Renowned International economics expert David Ndii becomes the only senior citizen to come out bravely to point fingers at President Uhuru Kenyatta and Sameer Group Chairman Naushad Merali over the impersonation call

In a twitter thread seen by the Kenyan Report, the Managing Director of Africa Economics Mr Ndii indicated that away from the prosecution of the suspects in the impersonation calls, Kenyans should look at the other side of the coin on the persons of President Uhuru Kenyatta and Naushad Merali

According to the police, the city tycoon Merali allegedly lost Sh10 million to men who mimicked President Uhuru Kenyatta in a purported purchase of some land in Milimani, Nairobi county. It is claimed that Mr Naushad Merali got a call from telephone number 0722 208842 and the caller identified himself as President Uhuru Kenyatta, with the same voice as the president.
Some reports allude that the number may actually be belonging to Uhuru.

David Ndii on his twitter said it is not convincing that an experienced wheeler dealer like Merali would easily fall for the demands by the “caller” and cough out Sh10 million just like that without having done similar dealing before or ongoing corrupt business relationship.

What does Merali falling for an impersonator say about credibility of @Ukenyatta fighting corruption. Would an experienced wheeler dealer like Merali cough up Sh.10m on a call from the blue i.e. without a deal in the works or ongoing corrupt business relationship? 2/8— David Ndii (@DavidNdii) February 28, 2019

The claims by David Ndii on the character of Merali comes barely after reports how Mwalimu Sacco reportedly lost a whooping Sh2billion in a bank owned by the Sameer Africa chairman. The Sacco, owned by teachers, reportedly invested a total of Sh2.4 billion to with an aim of taking a 75 percent stake from Equatorial Commercial Bank, owned by the business tycoon
