Mixed Show for DP Ruto as he abandons his itinerary to join his boss

Deputy President Willam Ruto on Thursday was caught out of place for not dressing appropriately for a function at the Supreme Court.

Ruto had accompanied President Uhuru Kenyatta to the official presentation of the State of Judiciary and Administration of Justice Report.

When CJ Maraga called him to the podium to speak, the DP acknowledged that he felt out of place.

While other government officials including the president were dressed in matching suits, Ruto stood out in his grey checked blazer and khaki trousers.

The DP admitted that he had initially made plans to travel outside the city but President Kenyatta made him change his plans.

“I want to apologise…I was dressed to go to another occasion out of town, but when my boss told me that I should be here, I had no choice,” Ruto told Maraga.

The DP further joked that his invitation must have been delayed, adding that he hoped to receive a personal invite from the CJ next time.

The second in command also revealed that it was the first time he had ever visited the CJ’s office.
