Lawyer Ahmednasir’s overwhelming evidence on corrupt supreme court judge gets a nod from Maraga

Chief Justice David Maraga

Chief Justice David Maraga has challenged Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi to file a petition with the Judicial Service Commission regarding claims that some Supreme Court judges were bribed in the Wajir gubernatorial election petition.

Speaking during the launch of the State of Judiciary Report, CJ Maraga assured Mr Abdullahi that the JSC would take the stern action against any judge who would be found culpable.

In the last few weeks Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi claimed that some judges of the Supreme Court were bribed to decide the Wajir gubernatorial petition the way they did,” CJ Maraga stated.

I challenge him to file a petition and assure him that the JSC would take stern and appropriate action if given evidence of the alleged corruption,” he added.

Moments after the CJ’s speech, Mr Abdullahi took to Twitter where he assured Kenyans that the petition is almost ready as he had promised claiming that the evidence collected was overwhelming.

On Wednesday, Supreme Court judge, Justice Mohamed K. Ibrahim threatened to sue the Senior Counsel for linking him to bribery and he demanded for a public apology from Mr Abdullahi.
