Speaking at a community dialogue in Kayole, Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti explicitly declared his stand on extrajudicial killings.

“I stand before God, if myself or anybody who will ever cover for someone who has killed an innocent person let God curse me,” he told the residents.

“I am saying no one will ever cover for a police officer who kills under my watch,” he added.

This he addressed to victims of extrajudicial killings in Kayole.

The forum, which he attended together with his counterpart Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Hajji, sought to engage the common mwananchi and stakeholders on matters police and community relations.

This is as Kayole is among the areas in Nairobi where extrajudicial killings and police brutality have been rampant.
