How fuel prices pulled down inflation

According to the Kenya Bureau of Statistics, inflation from August last year to February this year has dropped.

Kenya National Bureau of Statistics credited the drop to marked down fuel costs that prompted a cut in transport costs bringing about low food costs.

Mid a month ago, the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) marked down the cost of oil, diesel and lamp oil by Sh4.12, Sh6.28, and Sh5.20 per liter individually.

Costs of products, for example, filtered maize flour, wheat flour, sugar, lamp oil, petroleum and diesel all facilitated in February soothing weight off sustenance and transport records.
