It is not everyday that you see Kenyans on Twitter (KoT) speaking the same voice. But the rare spectacle happened on Thursday, when KoT came together to condemn DP William Ruto.
Ruto had denied reports that the government has lost sh. 21 billion in the Kamwaror and Arror Dams scandal.
Speaking during the State of the Judiciary address, Ruto said that the money in question was about seven billion and had not been lost because they have a bank guarantee.
But blogger Abraham Mutai has accused his statement as hypocritical and terrorism of the highest order.
“This kind of talk by DP Ruto stinks to high heavens. It is hypocrisy and mind terrorism against hard working KENYANS and the unemployed youth. Since it is ksh7billion and not ksh21billion that your friends LOOTED, therefore we should rest easy? No! We deserve better as a People. ” The blogger said on Twitter.
He went ahead and posted a video of Ruto talking about construction of dams in 2017.
