Pakistan said Wednesday it shot down two Indian warplanes in its airspace over debated Kashmir, in a sensational heightening of a showdown that has touched off feelings of trepidation of a hard and fast clash between the atomic furnished neighbors.
One Indian pilot was caught, a Pakistani military representative stated, including that one flying machine had fallen in Pakistani-held Kashmir, while the other fell on the Indian side of the vigorously mobilized accepted outskirt partitioning the Himalayan region.
Indian sources affirmed Pakistani contender planes had abused airspace over Indian Kashmir, yet said they were constrained back over the LoC, and there was no prompt reaction to the case the planes had been shot down.
