Veteran faded Kenyan rapper Chris Kantai passed on Wednesday morning at St. Francis Hospital in Kasarani where he had been admitted two days ago. His death was confirmed by his family representative Wanjiku Thuku.
The Jinga Hii hit-maker succumbed to breathing complications at 42 years leaving behind one wife and a child and he was the only surviving child in his family after the demise of his brother 10 years go.
Chris Kantai is among the foremost Kenyan rappers, who scooped several accolades in the early 2000sā Chaguo La Teeniez Awards and he is credited for introducing into the rap market celebrated rapper Stella Mwangi alias STL.
