Atwoli’s new plan that President Kenyatta should be afraid of

The graft cases experienced in the country are on the raise on each day.

The Central Organisation of Trade Union (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli now has a plan.

Atwoli has challenged President Uhuru Kenyatta to take action against corrupt leaders in the country or risk mass action from citizens.

Atwoli who was speaking during the 30th anniversary of Pan-African trade unions at Hilton hotel said workers were fully behind the president’s resolve to fight graft in the country.

During the event, the unionist said the country was struggling economically because of a few individuals who were determined to grab everything meant to help citizens.

“Workers of this country are 100% behind your fight against corruption We need to handle these corrupt fellows and if they will not be put in prison, I can tell you that citizens are going to take it into their own hands to hunt them down,”he said.

The vocal secretary general said he would not stand to see a person linked to endless corruption scandals contest to be the country’s president.

“I have said time and again, that before you raise your head to be a leader, you must be a leader of credence, you must not be associated with anybody who is corrupt. “Somebody said he wants to be president and people around him, and all corrupt cases link up with him. I know if he becomes a leader, I am an elder, let him hang me first,” said Atwoli on Wednesday, February 27.

The self-declared elder and advisor lamented that while other countries in the world had made gainful economic progress in the last 15 years, Kenya remained behind due to corruption.
