According to Italian newspaper Corriere del Mezzogiorno, the Gunners monitor the 24-year-old. The source claim Arsenal could make an offer to Napoli when the summer transfer window reopens. The Italian club sit second in the Serie A and Zielinski has made a significant contribution to that result. He’s featured in 25 Serie A matches, scoring 4 goals, which is a good rate for a player of his position.
Zielinski has a contract with the Italians until 2021. His reported value is £40million, which could be a huge obstacle for a move. The Gunners will allegedly have a rather restricted summer transfer budget. Moreover, we are not the only potential suitor for the midfielder.
Before signing for Napoli from Udinese Liverpool were keen on signing the Poland international in 2016. However, that move never happened. There are still rumours concerning Klopp’s personal interest in the highly-rated ace, however, the 24-year-old denies claims he was contacted by the Reds’ manager:
