A Standard Seven pupil is currently in police custody for allegedly killing his brother whilst fighting over a pair of trousers.
The 16-year-old, a pupil at a school in Rangwe sub-county, is said to have stabbed his 18-year-old brother with a kitchen knife on Sunday evening.
Witnesses said the victim, who worked at Asumbi Teachers Training College, was angered when he found out that his brother had worn his pair of trousers without his permission and left it dirty.
The younger man allegedly stabbed his brother in the stomach then took off.
Residents later found the boy, and made attempts to lynch him only for the boy to be rescued by the chief, and later taken to Rangwe police station.
