A new season of the bachelor, UK edition, is just about to premier and our star is Hunky Alex Marks. The 31 year-old is hoping to find a love like the one his parents share on ‘The Bachelor UK’.
Hunky owns a personal training business, stars in Channel 5’s new series, with 17 single women hoping to win his affections.
The reality show promises lots of drama as Alex goes on a string of dates and takes part in the infamous rose ceremonies until he finds the right girl for him.
And despite it being an atypical way to find love, Alex, from London, insists he’s doing it for the right reasons – and not for fame.
Alex, who described himself as an “inbetweener” at school who struggled to fit in, said he decided to sign up for the show after dedicating his time to his business.
“That’s 100% [what I want], to spend a life with somebody is the ultimate goal isn’t it? To share life experiences with somebody.”
He told the mirror: “The process was amazing, stressful, exciting, exhilarating at times and full of emotions, it was an amazing time.
“I had devoted an awful lot of time to my business and my career and put romance on the sidelines and thought, ‘Do you know what I miss being in a relationship and I want to love and find, the one’, so I went in for it.”
He added: “I guess you could say it was a unique [way to find love] but it was enjoyable and what an amazing way to get to know someone to be away and have the most amazing dates, it was great fun.
