The story of rugby legend Sidindi fallen after drowning in a swimming pool

Sportsmen and fans have been thrown into mourning after Impala Rugby Football Club (RFC) player Richard Sidindi Akoth died on Monday morning after he drowned while swimming at the club’s grounds.

Known to many as Real Jadhah Power, Sidindi was Impala’s Fullback. He was a key player in both the fifteens and the sevens version of the game.

He last played for Impala Saracens on February 23, where Impala lost to Homeboyz 18-11 in the Eric Shirley Shield (ESS).

Sidindi was an Information Technology (IT) specialist. He previously played for Kisumu RFC.

He was a student at St Mary’s Yala before joining Maseno University . He is described as a lover of pets and humanity, an adamant Arsenal fan, and someone with a great personality.
