The dishonorable sin that made MP Kapondi rain blows on his rival

Men in a fist-fight

As ordinary Kenyans tackle the pinching economy head-on, our honorable legislatures enjoying echelon of power and resources keep exchanging blows in the full glare of cameras.

Mt Elgon MP Fred Chesebe Kapondi and his rival Evans Kiprotich clashed on Saturday at a funeral in Nasala village, Bungoma County.

After a brief altercation, Kapondi is spotted in a video raining blows on a man identified as Masuti Chemasuet.

Chemasuet, who is a close ally of Kiprotich, was allegedly taking photos while Hon Kapondi was addressing mourners.

This did not go down well with Kapondi who cut short his speech and took on Chemasuet.

He wanted him to delete the photos. When he refused, a violent confrontation ensued.

The coffin bearing the body of businessman Peter Chepkech Zablon had to be taken away as the youth clashed.

Kiprotich vowed to seek legal redress against Kapondi over the brush.

The legislator, on the other hand, stated that it was time to serve the electorate while urging his rivals to wait for the 2022 General Elections.

Here is the video.
