An 11 year Old girl Flora Patience Kihombo beat Wema Sepetu at her own game after she clinched the award as the Best Actress during the Sinema Zetu International Festival.
The awarding ceremony took place in Tanzania on 23rd February and brought together top celebrities from the film industry.
The 11 year old shared her excitement for the win of the award and many were fascinated by the decision of the judges to empower young talent.
During her speech, she said that she was honored to receive the award since it shows that they value young people and Tanzania generally realizes that young people are the tomorrow’s leaders.
Diamond’s sister, Esma Platnumz during an interview before the awards were given said that her wish is that other upcoming and talented artists manage to get that award instead so that there can be some level of competition and other young talents need to feel recognized.
Indeed this competition and difference made a change. Esma had said that it makes no sense to expect the same people to win over and over again yet there are many talented people who are also putting in so much effort to give the best in the industry.
Flora Patience Kihombo beat Wema Sepetu, Wolper Stylish among other celebrities who were nominated under that category.
