Kilimani robbers using Prado with fake number plates caught

Police detectives acting on a tip off have managed to arrest a notorious gang of house breakers that has been terrorizing the residents of Kilimani area.

The police are said to have analyzed CCTV footage and identified a black Prado with fake number plates which was later traced to a broker who had hired it to the suspects.

A trap was laid and the four suspects arrested. Hundreds of keys and crude weapons were believed to be used in the robberies were also found in the raid.

The four in police custody are believed to be behind a series of housebreaks where numerous residents of the uptown residence are said to have lost valuables worth millions.

Alex Nderi alias ‘Ade’,Peter Kaari alias ‘Pinches’/‘Walker’,Lawrence Alusala alias’Nico’&Veronica Kamau alias’Veroh were arraigned in court and charged with robbery with violence.

Police further said that upon interrogation, one of the suspects led the Detectives to Kwihota,in Ruiru Town whereby a firearm which was reportedly robbed from a Chinese national loaded with 14 rounds of ammunition was recovered and 2 vehicles detained. The firearm was later submitted to Ballistics for forensic examination.
