Kenya’s Head of State Gets Stuck in Nairobi Traffic Driving Himself

The Kenyan President, Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta surprised many Kenyans when he decided to go on alone drive in Nairobi on Sunday afternoon. 

The Head of State did not have his usual convoy of cars and security officers to clear the road for him thus he was a regular motorists on the streets of Nairobi. 

He had to share the experience of sitting through traffic like many other ordinary Kenyans who usually lack the luxury of a security detail, orescort cars to clear the way for them through traffic

Surprisingly, the driver’s window was not tinted and Uhuru could be seen talking to a woman who had walked up to him.  The photo had Kenyans speculating the model which they identified as Mercedes G Wagon.

Some netizen came out to state that they had also seen the president in the vehicle before. 

Media Personality Jeff Koinange and Lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi are among the few known to have similar cars. 

“Hey @KoinangeJeff, is that Kamwana is your G-Wagon? But it’s more like @ahmednasirlaw’s coz it is a right-hand drive,” tweeted businessman Ahmed Mohammed.

Political analyst, Benji Ndolo, responded that Uhuru had one of his own – a 600 model, adding that Jeff’s had a smaller motor. 

His comment however backfired when Ahmednassir quipped, “What is a 600 G Wagon?… Jeff educate this Kenyan.”
