Actors pretending to be Uhuru con Sameer Sh 80million

Conmen acting like President Uhuru Kenyatta have cheated a Nairobi businessperson of Sh80 million lying that they would grant him with state tenders.

Sleuths from the DCI Special Crime Prevention Unit last week captured seven men thought to be in the cartel that conned staff from Sameer Group of Companies.

So efficient are the crooks, that they have consummated the craft of emulating the President’s voice to close flawlessness.

Police said the conmen, pretend to be State House authorities.

The guest, who mirrors Uhuru and talks in a voice practically like that of the President, tells agents of real government works which he requests that they take up.

The ‘phony President’, requests that the unfortunate casualty give some cash to calculated help.

He guarantees to send some State House authorities and other staff from the Interior service to the unfortunate casualty’s office to gather the money for the faciitation.

Sources acquainted with the examinations said corrupt cops from Kilimani police headquarters had been enlisted to give security administrations to the State House shams.

The con plot was known a month ago after authorities from Sameer apparently wrote to State House looking for a group of people with the president over a delicate arrangement.

Stunned State House authorities in the wake of accepting the letter are said to have reached the Sameer group and asked of the arrangement among themselves and the ‘phony President Uhuru’.
