President Kenyatta awaits for Kenya’s first female President

President Kenyatta has today shared his wish to sit and listen to the ‘first woman President of the Republic of Kenya’ in the coming days.

The President was speaking during the World Thinking Day 2019 which was held at the State House.

Kenyatta added that some of his best performing Cabinet Secretaries are women.

The head of state mentioned that leadership in any family and in any country, does not exist without the full participation of the women who are naturally gifted with attributes of servant leadership.

The celebrations to mark World Thinking Day 2019 and the Leadership Award Ceremony of the Kenya Girl Guides Association were hosted by the First Lady Margaret Kenyatta.

President Kenyatta graced the occasion, which is celebrated by millions of girl guides and girl scouts worldwide to celebrate the shared birthday of Lord Baden Powell and his wife Olave.

The First Lady on her end said that it is deeply moving to see how the girl guide movement has impacted millions of girls and women indiscriminately across Kenya. 

“It is encouraging to see people coming together in the name of a common and noble cause that this movement holds true ” she added

She also thanked the staff and all partners for their tireless and dedicated passion to ensure this amazing work of the movement continues to reach and empower millions of girls, adolescents and women across the county.
