The detectives spent the better part of Friday at Delta house where the car
a Toyota Land Cruiser V8 with registration plates KCQ 004U was parked and conducted a search before driving it to their offices along Valley Road, Nairobi.
This incident comes exactly a week after the Supreme Court overturned the decision of the High Court and the Court of Appeal to nullify Mahamud’s election as the governor of Wajir.
Mahamud had moved to the Supreme Court seeking a ruling regarding his election over allegations that he did not possess the prerequisite academic qualifications.
The ruling was the outcome of a split vote with four judges ruling in the governor’s favour while two dissented.
