Disappointment as Boinnet’s leaves bleeding Baringo

The Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet term ends in just a month, and already, the lobbying for a new Inspector-General is intense both within the service and without.

His term ends as Baringo bandit attack takes toll in the region disappointing many Kenyans who were full of hope in him in crashing cattle rustling menace.

In the latest attack, five people were killed including police reservists and students who were on mid tem break.

Cattle rustling has continued to give the residents of Baringo sleepless nights as sounds of gunshots have become the order of the day in the region with families fleeing their lives for fear of attacks.

Some of the possible names have already been put on the table as possible replacement of Mr Boinnet.
