Njambi Kokai Eyeing The Steve Harvey Show

Former media personality Njambi Koikai is looking to catch the attention of TV host Steve Harvey in a bid to create awareness on Endometriosis.

Njambi, who is also known as Fire Mama Jahmby, took to social media and shared the video below with the caption:

Hey fam. I'm Njambi Koikai: I'm an Endo Conqueror. Fighter. Warrior. I have shared my story many times before and I'm always living to tell a new one. I battled thoracic endometriosis for over 15 years, which started with painful periods getting worse and worse, followed by lung collapses. Years of misdiagnosis led to me to search further for the cause of my pain. That is how I discovered the Center for Endometriosis Care in Atlanta where I received my life saving surgery. The cost of treatment was prohibitive meaning I had to fundraise since I had no employment nor insurance. I was categorised as one of the worst cases of endometriosis ever seen. Two weeks ago, I sadly had another lung collapse, making it 19 surgeries over the last 19 years. I have survived to date thanks to God and your support has been crucial. The former radio presenter who has been battling endometriosis for the past 15 years said in her Instagram video that she would like to raise awareness on the little-known disease on a show hosted by American TV personality and actor Steve Harvey.

The Rastafarian beauty also explained saying that she hopes to raise funds that will help cover her prohibitive hospital bills.

Hey fam. As endo warriors, we are faced with countless struggles. The biggest challenge remains misdiagnosis and with this comes botched surgeries, wrong medication etc. This makes the disease worse that by the time you're seeing a skilled endometriosis specialist, they first have to deal with all the damage caused due to misdiagnosis and then deal with the disease. It's horrific the damage most of us have gone through. So the best solution is to first get trained specialists to deal with this disease. Then early proper diagnosis. The skilled specialists will then be able to carry out excision which will in turn save so many lives and end the agony. I kindly need your help to fundraise as i have accrued more hospital bills. Njambi, who was fortunate enough to go for a life saving surgery in Georgia, Atlanta, noted that two weeks ago, she suffered another lung collapse which led her to having the 19th surgery but she is currently healing.

Despite battling the disease for many years, the cheerful Jahmby always finds time to post on her progress as well as encourage other women who suffer from Endometriosis that they can get treatment for the ailment.
