Officers from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission have raided the homes of Governor Moses Lenolkulal in Nairobi and Samburu in investigations linked to embezzlement of Ksh.2billion.

The anti-graft detectives also raided the homes of Samburu County Chief Officers.

Governor Kasaine has in the past been indicted by the Kenya Public Accounts and Investment Committee (PAIC) over the misappropriation of Ksh75 million in unsurrendered tax.

Besides, the Samburu County boss has also been in trouble for making illegal payment to the Council of Governors (COG).

The EACC is also reportedly set to go after contractors and directors of firms linked to the Ksh2 billion scandal.

In November last year, the Senate revealed that eight counties had failed to account for public funds.

The eight include Samburu, Busia, Kisumu, Trans Nzoia, Nyandarua, Tana River, Kwale and Kericho.
